LAVISH HAIR & BEAUTY ETIQUETTE & SALON POLICY
In order to provide you with the best possible experience, we have a simple etiquette and salon policy that we respectfully ask you to adhere to.
APPOINTMENTS
Please arrive for scheduled appointments on time to avoid this disappointment should we not be able to accommodate you if you are late.
CANCELLATION POLICY
As a courtesy to Lavish Hair & Beauty could you please let us know of any cancellations at you first convenience. We do require a minimum of 6-hour notice for cancelling appointments please advise us of any cancellation by phone or email.

CHILDREN
We regret that for health and safety reasons children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by supervising parent or guardian at all times whilst in our salon. In the case of a parent or guardian having a treatment, a child should not be left unattended in the salon.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer certain treatments for anyone under the age 18. A member of staff may ask to see ID before proceeding with the treatment.
CONSENT FOR JUNIORS
We require signed consent from a Parent/Guardian before any treatment is carried out on under 16-year olds. Clients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during their treatment.
Please note that it is the sole responsibility of the client if you choose to bring children with you whilst experiencing treatments to ensure their safety and well- being and the relaxation and consideration of others around you in the salon.
DOGS
Dogs are not allowed at Lavish Hair & Beauty under any circumstances. We do apologise for any inconvenience.
PAYMENT
We are not able to accept payments by American Express or cheque. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.
COMPLAINTS
Lavish Hair & Beauty customer satisfaction is our key priority and we are dedicated to providing first class customer service. However, should you not be 100 percent satisfied with your salon experience at Lavish Hair & Beauty , before taking it anywhere else, please contact the salon manager and we will do our best to rectify the complaint. We appreciate and welcome your feedback.
SALON GUIDELINES COVID-19
Our Commitment: We will provide you with a safe environment that complies Our Commitment with guidelines issued by Government and our local authority.
1 OUR SALON
✔ We have undertaken a thorough review of our salon and services
✔ We have rearranged the salon space to adhere to social distancing guidelines
✔ Every surface will be cleaned regularly and wiped with the appropriate sanitiser between each appointment
✔ All items of equipment will be disinfected before and after every service
✔ Disposable gowns and towels will be used at all times
✔ We will ensure adequate ventilation throughout the salon with doors and windows open where possible
✔ We will, if required, extend opening hours and divide our teams into shifts whilst ensuring we retain social distancing
2 OUR TEAM
✔ All team members are trained to care for our customers in a safe, hygienic and professional manner
✔ We have agreed social distancing for our team in communal staff areas
✔ Staff have been briefed to not attend the salon if they have a temperature, or are feeling unwell or if any person in their household is unwell or is self-isolating
3 OUR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
✔ We have reviewed our service menu and removed any that we feel will be unsafe at this time
✔ Our team will wear gloves, masks and aprons on the salon floor and all team members will wash their hands before and after every client interaction
✔ PPE will be replaced after every client
✔ New clients will have a virtual consultation to assess their service needs and ensure the right appointment time is allocated
✔ In-salon consultations will be done at the styling station and via the mirror to minimise face-to-face interaction
4 CLIENT ARRIVAL AND RECEPTION
✔ We will stagger customer appointment times
✔ We will greet you warmly but without a handshake or a hug
✔ Hand sanitiser must be used on entry to the salon
✔ Clients must minimise what they bring as you will be asked to keep all belongings with you
✔ We ask that clients attend their appointments alone
✔ A screen will be installed at reception
✔ You will be escorted to your stylists’ section ASAP to avoid congestion in the waiting area
5 WE ASK YOU, OUR CUSTOMERS TO
✔ Arrive at the time agreed to maximise social distancing
✔ Arrive with clean hair
✔ To wear your own face mask or face covering (masks can be purchased at reception)
✔ To wash your hands or use hand sanitisers before and after each service
✔ We will not be serving refreshments
✔ We will not have magazines in the salon
✔ To contact us and re-arrange your appointment, at no additional cost, if you have a temperature, or are feeling unwell; or if any person in your household is unwell or is self-isolating
✘ Do not come to the salon if you or anyone you live with is unwell or self-isolating
✔ We are happy to discuss any of your individual concerns, please feel free to call the salon or speak with a member of the team
GDPR Policy and Privacy
At Lavish Hair & Beauty we take your personal data very seriously and that’s why we want to let you know why and how we collect and store your personal details in accordance with the new GDPR legislation.
We collect your data in several ways at Lavish Hair & Beauty.
In the salon using a printed client consultation form
Contact Form – This is a contact form on our website for you to contact us with enquiries. We ask for your name, email address and to leave a comment, you will NOT be added to our mailing list for using this.
Social media – You may contact us via Facebook messenger or other networks and we will reply but not store this information.
When arriving for your appointment at the salon we will ask you to complete a client record card.
Your full name, so we can address you in the salon and ensure all communication is with the correct person.
Address, to help us distinguish 2 clients with identical names. If any of your loved ones contact us to send you a gift voucher.
Email address, to send booking confirmations as well as email invoices of any services you have received.
Medical history including operations, diseases, disorders – Medical history is crucial to allow us to perform our treatments safely and adhere to the terms of our insurance.
Allergies, to ensure nothing we use during a treatment or around you at the salon can cause you harm, irritation or any other complications and to adhere to the terms of our insurance.
Medication, some medication can be a contraindication to treatment or react with products we use. It is essential we know details to protect you the client and adhere to our insurance terms.
Patch test is a skin test we carry out in the salon to test for potential allergic reactions to certain treatments. We keep this on file, so all therapists know you can have that treatment and in the event of a reaction we know what was used and when.
Treatment history, so each therapist can see what and how the last therapist carried out a treatment on you to ensure results are consistent amongst all staff.
Your contact preferences, so if you wish to be on our mailing list you must opt in otherwise we cannot legally send you our newsletters and special offers.
Your consent to use treatments photos – Some of our treatments involve before and after photos on salon devices to aid the client experience and proof of progress/treatment.
Your data is in digital and paper form at Lavish Hair & Beauty. Paper copies of consultation forms are stored alphabetically in a filing cabinet that only staff of Lavish Hair & Beauty have access to.
We will hold your data for up to 2 years unless you ask us otherwise. In order to continue to provide the client with the best service possible we need these records to see exactly what treatments were performed, reactions, likes, dislikes, patch tests, products used etc.
You have the right to be forgotten. If at any time you no longer wish to be on the Lavish Hair & Beauty database that’s no problem, simply send an email to beauty@lavishrosehill.co.uk and we will remove your information.
You have the right to access your personal data that Lavish Hair & Beauty holds and the right to rectification if it is incomplete, incorrect or out of date.
You have the right to data portability if you wish us to transfer some personal data maybe patch test results if you a moving to another salon.
You have the right to object to processing and direct marketing. Your data can remain in one place but not used.
